I had a defective rear differential in my brand new 2025 Chevy Equinox Activ and was told it needed to be replaced after having my car in for the issue that made the issue known to the service techs back in March. The part finally came in after being on backorder since then and I scheduled the service appointment and got a loaner, so my normal schedule wouldn't be disrupted without my car. Took a couple days to get my car back in working order and all seems good now. I'm very pleased with the service.

Bob lahey was rude, sexist, dishonest, and abhorrent. His team lied about checking an issue on my car so he could charge me $200. When I insisted he actually drive the car, his service manager told me in writing that Bob DID test drive it, only for Bob himself to call me and tell me that he didn’t, but would. He called me back later saying he didn’t hear the noise of concern, despite my entire family hearing it, my independent mechanic hearing it, and friends who I later drove that same evening hearing it. More lies. When I became frustrated at their lies, he told me I was being “an irrational woman” and that I needed to “calm down.” Yes, you read that right. This man should have been retired into the 1960s where he belongs. What an awful experience!

We were a little surprised to find our brand new Silverado EV, not charging. We were also surprised to find that it was almost impossible to find a dealership that would take us without waiting several weeks. We were pleased to find that colonial Chevrolet would take us in on an emergency basis. Then we were surprised again to find that we were directed to go to enterprise to get a rental car during this potentially one month period of time that it would take to fix our vehicle. A couple days later we find that we are being offered a brand new blazer EV as a loaner. That made a big difference to our experience. It ended up being only a week to make all the electrical adjustments so the vehicle would continue to charge. We do love the vehicle and hope this is the end of our electrical problems.

My truck was bought in for a safety recall and a taillight issue. Because I live near Hillsboro New Hampshire, I normally take my truck to the local Ford dealership for inspections. During my last inspection a broken seal was notice on my passenger side taillight. Ford offered to replace the taillight lens for $575.00 thinking I would pay less at a Chevy dealer knowing that it's a Chevy truck I decided to bring it back to Colonial Chevy where I purchased it. I was disappointed when I was quoted over $900.00 for the same repair.

I rated my Chevy dealership with a 4 as an average between two recent experiences. My 2021 Malibu with only 35K miles needed a new transmission. The dealership had our car for over 2 months, although not their fault - it took that long to get a new transmission. That would have received a "2" rating. We have just had another experience at our dealership (Colonial Chevrolet in Action, MA) with a noise under our 2019 Equinox with about 65K miles. After getting it back, it still had the noise. They took it right back, fixed it and did not charge for the second trip. That would have gotten a "5" rating.

Four stars instead of five because the "Hour to hour and a half" wait time became almost 3 hours in reality. I felt the time was excessive for an oil change, tire rotation, TPM sensor replacement and a state inspection sticker. In general, this service department is the only reason that we still have a Volt.

I dropped the car off at the Col;onial Chevrolet body shop and they gave me a ride home. I picked the car up 5 days later. The trepair work was extrordinary, beautiful and no indication that it had just arrived from the factory. They cleaned the car inside and out before notifying me that it was ready. The total cost of the body work was consistyenyt with the estimate that I was given prior to delivering the car. Excellent work, grteat customer interface. Highly rtecommend them.

Transmission oil flush was requested but the service was not performed. Despite my concerns that my transmission might be wearing out or defective, the service tech felt it was not needed. Which he was well aware a requirement of GM for proper maintenance of the transmission. Were they trying to forego this work to avoid me being covered by warranty if the transmission failed? I think so.

I made a 7:00 am appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I dropped my car off the night before so that it would be the first on the lot and ready for the technicians. In my reservation I stated “I plan to wait” for my car. I was waiting on the call to tell me it is ready but it didn’t come. I called at 9:30 and the service desk told me noon would be the earliest it would be finished. I said this is unacceptable as I was on my way to pick it up then. I called again after talking to the service desk and asked for the GM John Woodland. I believe Sean was the one that answered. Sean said John was on vacation. I asked Sean who was stepping in for John and he said no one. Sean said I could speak to him though. I ran through my issue with Sean and he began to argue, “why would I know about the service department?” “I don’t even work in there”. Sean said he would have someone call me back and I said I would prefer to talk to him so I don’t need to keep explaining the issue. Sean was very angry that he had to talk to me even though he was the one that answered for John Woodland and said he would talk to me about my issue. I waited for a call back and Bob the Service Manager called me and immediately from the start said “who do you think you are yelling at my employees”. He scolded me for a minute and told me that communication is a two way street and that I should have told them I needed the car for a specific time. In my reservation I selected the option “I plan to wait” there was no suggestion that I could tell them a time I want it ready. I assume what I selected was basically saying ASAP. I never yelled at anyone but I was firm and blunt in my conversation because I was frustrated with my situation. Bob told me that my car was being pulled into the bay right now and that they will let me know when it was ready. I was dropped off and sat in waiting area until my car was finished by 10:00. I went outside and my car was parked up close to the new vehicles not pulled into a parking spot. I looked at the door of my car and noticed it was dinged on the driver side and the paint had been chipped off. I did not want to make matters worse with Bob.

Loved the experience. i went in for my inspection and they could take my car right away. Then they mentioned there was a software update/recall to perform and I told them to go ahead. The entire process too an hour, and when I received the car it appeared at least that they had charged it for me while in the service. I had to reset my preferences afterward, but that was not that much trouble. The front desk was just fantastic.

This is the second vehicle I've bought from Colonial. Six years and 127,000 miles later I was looking to replace it. I would not have worked with the previous salesperson that I did (who is no longer there) and was happy to meet and to buy through Luke Ealey! Luke's profile on the Colonial website says, "When you meet Luke, you will be greeted with a smile. He truly shows the love of his job and the Chevrolet product." That is very true, but it goes deeper. He is a regular, down-to-earth guy, that I couldn't recommend more. The service itself was excellent. There were a couple items amiss. One of my wheel center caps was missing on my summer set. Who ever did this was careless. Also my snowbrush was replaced with a different snowbrush thar I had never seen before.

Everything was done quickly, but I'm confused with what was performed. I thought I was getting the annual multi point inspection service including lube jobs, etc but that doesn't show on my receipt. All it shows is oil change and state inspection, plus checking of cabin air filter.
